One spouse voted Trump, one voted Harris

I have a couple of friends who voted for Trump but they are lifelong Republicans and don't act brainwashed. I don't think they should have, but it doesn't feel any different with them than it did in the past. We don't really talk politics and never did. However, I have a relative who has gone completely into the mindset. She wants to talk about it all the time. Every conversation is like an attempt at a Twitter argument and it's rude and confrontational I can't be around someone like that. I mean, that goes for anyone on the left too who is bombastic and intentionally provocative but this seems to be the MAGA style and is in full bloom. I could not live with someone like that.

As an immigrant, and also married to an immigrant, it's hard for us to accept anyone who voted for Trump, especially now with the DOJ trying to look for any reason to denaturalize citizens, which we are, as are most of my friends and family, some of whom have served in the military.

And I'm a former R.

+1 just done with someone who voted for Trump. I'll be collegial because I'm frankly scared. And yes it changes how I feel about them 100 perfect. I'm not starting debates or yelling at anyone. But I am fading away from that person no question. It's felt sad with a few people.
