No competitive team is developing anyone so put that notion aside but the kick and run is just not true about FVU. Try some other critique that can actually stick.

Who cares, not having a club in Fairfax Co. would be financially irresponsible on behalf of ECNL. More likely adding one in Loudoun when Arlington goes GA in a year and all those girls try to latch on at FVU. FVU is very healthy and positioned for a steady rise to creating a monopoly in nova necessary to compete nationally

Financially irresponsible...Do you mean ECNL would lose too much money by kicking out a club from ECNL? If your primary concern is the financial aspect, then you are essentially are de-prioritizing standards and performance over slots in ECNL.

I think if Arlington goes GA next year, that would signal the tipping point in this region for ECNL. But yes, there will still be some Arlington families of female players who would transfer to the remaining ECNL clubs... but for how long? And if FVU and Arlington do not offer ECNL, there would only be so many who would chase down slots at VDA or VSA.

But again, I don't think there is any truth to the probation rumor.

I don't see how FVU is positioning themselves to rise compared to the other options. Again, if your DC is looking to compete on a first team at a national level, why would you pay the same amount of money as competing clubs and get less? Less exposure, and less training sessions compared to VDA, Arlington, NVA, etc.

Don't most of these teams do 3x per week and 1 additional of strength and conditioning to make it 4 training days?

NVA is GA not relevant in the convo anymore. Arlington has one good team so not that relevant either. Is FVU signifincantly worse than VDA/ Competitvely yes, with one age group exception. Being #2 is not bad especailly if Arlington goes boom

Most teams at that level are on the field 4x a week at least. The only club that I've seen advertise strength and conditioning as their 4th is SYC but it's an additional cost per session.

four days a week is a lot. i would be worried about overuse injuries.
