| I hate the neighbor's $#!@ing screaming kids. I said what I said. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I hate how the DH is outside on the porch screaming at his phone at top of his lungs all the time, often around 11pm when I'm trying to sleep. |
This is horrific. A basketball hoop in the neighbor's driveway which was basically right under our bedroom, literally caused me to move. It is so loud, and the kid next door was playing it for 20 minutes every day at 7:30am before leaving for school. And after school. And in the evenings. And all weekend. Even when super cold. Even when hot. Even in light rain. |
Yuck do you live in a town home or one of those SFH neighborhoods where the houses are 3' apart? Yikes. |
This happened all the time in our neighborhood. We put in a backyard fence. |
The latter. There is nothing between our houses but a driveway and a strip of grass that is maybe 3'. 1/10, do not recommend lol. I can literally hear the tv in their house. With their doors shut. And our doors shut. And windows shut. |
Good for you for putting up the fence to keep them out. I'd be concerned about liability in addition to being annoyed. |
DP. New construction? Those are not sound proof |
Live in a neighborhood of single family houses. There is a clique that has developed consisting entirely of families who have all moved here since COVID who think it's ok for their kids to scream loudly at all hours, to play in other people's yards whenever they want and for their dogs to run loose in other peoples yards. Just a general lack of respect for those around them. Can be difficult to deal with as I have children slightly older, and if you confront them - they will ensure your children are excluded from all social interaction in the neighborhood. The neighbors who have lived here longer are fine - it's the clique that has developed, it's very high school behavior that I don't like. |
An actual court. |

We are in the boonies. Love my street with SFH. I know most people. Love my neighbors.
There were two Maggot families who were anti-immigrant but then sold to the Hispanic people they hated. Against HOA rules and these people have multiple people subletting. |

We say hi to neighbors on one side - they are our ages no kids.
On the other - they’re ok. He’s retired and she’s an engineer. We socialize with them occasionally. Empty nesters. We go between this house, our lake home and our Florida condo. He sets our garbage out, and we do the same when they travel. Everyone is good. No dogs, kids, or weed smokers. I guess we’re lucky. At the lake and our condo - love LOVE our neighbors. Real true friends. |
That could be a nice thing |
