Is it possible the main nut case in all these threads is Blake herself? I mean who else would care THIS much or be so oblivious to the fact that most of America finds her and her husband obnoxious and fake? Or maybe it’s some troll committed to a shtick. Who knows. |
It’s not clear to me why one poster is allowed to post nonsensical conspiracy theories incessantly, and then have whatever posts she reports removed. It really detracts from the purpose of the thread, which is to discuss the actual litigation not vast right wing conspiracies. |
That's not really what is happening and nonsensical conspiracy theories don't violate the guidelines that I agreed to enforce. One thing all the posters in that thread could do is post more about the topic and less about each other. If the thread turns into a discussion about which poster is worse, it will not last long. |
It’s the same poster posting wacky things and picking fights each and every time. Isn’t there a point where it’s too much? It’s always some form of “I have the moral high ground because …”. |
Again, that's not really the case. Wacky things are being posted by those on all sides of the debate. Posters on all sides are picking fights. You are just experiencing a sort of confirmation bias. Please just report posts that you think are inappropriate. Leave the policing of users to me. |
That thread was somewhat interesting, but at this point, it's just arguing back and forth - no new information at all. |
I know, I know, nobody wants this. But — is it possible to give this person a time out, or at least give them clear instructions (well, for the second time I guess) to stop insulting and belittling one or two specific posters supporting Lively that they disagree with?
https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/quote/6555/29696740.page You have told this person above to leave the policing of users to you. You have said, “Please just report posts that you think are inappropriate. Leave the policing of users to me.” And yet, this poster will not do that. Every 50 pages or so, they get super angry when one of the pro-ish-Lively posters makes good points and shoots off numerous complaints in thread that they are sock-puppeting, or that they must be Blake Lively, or Blake Lively’s mother, or Blake Lively’s PR shill, or in any case spend too much of their time here making long posts and should go away. They post multiple insults, and often confuse multiple posters as one poster. Just in the last page they call this person “deranged and insufferable” and “unhinged,” and “so damaged,” speculate about their personal life, that they have been kicked off Reddit, says (incorrectly) that they are the problem with this thread, and says the legal commentary they post is an “abuse of forum decorum” lol WUT?!?! This inevitably results in you needing to perform a cleanup on the aisle and erasing these posts and the posts pushing back against them. This is just sh!tposting in thread and leads to response sh!tposting because the stuff is so malicious. Could you please tell this person not to do this? That nonsense should never be posted in thread and at most should be posted in website feedback. And since they keep doing it, would you consider giving them a time out? This person seems to think that it’s okay for them to repeatedly pick on this user, though you have told them not to, and just keeps pulling this nonsense in thread every 50 to 100 pages instead of taking this to Website Feedback. I’m not the poster this person is primarily attacking but I’m annoyed this poster pulls this same insult sh!tpost drama every 50-100 pages or so and thinks they can just keep doing it. I think it’s the same person (same writing style) but I guess I’m not positive. Sorry. |
Sorry — why was the comment asking the person who called themselves “an insider” what they meant by that deleted?
On the current page, three other people are calling someone else an insider, and those are not deleted. Whereas this other person called *themselves* an insider, and I reposted that and asked about it, and that was deleted. Why isn’t it okay to ask them what they meant? They said: “You’re an insider, but sure, keep lying. Fwiw, I am as well.” I am sorry for the bother. |
The poster who called herself an insider asked for her post to be deleted. I then deleted the posts that quoted it. Also, I am almost at the end of my patience with that thread and about to send all of you off to Reddit. The constant bickering and constant reports is driving me crazy. |
Oh, wow. Okay. I’m very sorry to bother you, Jeff. I do really appreciate the explanation, fwiw. Thank you very much. |
Back from the dead, sorry.
Some pro-Baldoni person has posted basically word for word at least one comment directly from Reddit. The DCUM post is here: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/9075/1253236.page#30035213 Wayfarer already made it clear in a letter to the judge that they wouldn’t amend their complaint unless the motion to dismiss made it absolutely necessary. This approach avoids drawing premature attention to parties like Jonesworks or Lively. By raising the Vanzan issue in response to the protective order instead of through an amended filing, they get it in front of the judge without exposing their broader strategy. Bryan Freedman is is making sure the other side doesn’t see the full game plan until it’s too late to react. The Reddit post, which was posted I think about 10 hours before the DCUM post by Maleficent_Proof9652", is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/teamjustinbaldoni/comments/1kjfhgh/comment/mrmrggg/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Wayfarer already made it clear in a letter to the judge that they wouldn’t amend their complaint unless the motion to dismiss made it absolutely necessary. This approach avoids drawing premature attention to parties like Jonesworks or Lively. By raising the Vanzan issue in response to the protective order instead of through an amended filing, they get it in front of the judge without exposing their broader strategy. Bryan Freedman is playing it close to the chest he’s making sure the other side doesn’t see the full game plan until it’s too late to react. Is posting like this allowed? The user hasn't come back to the thread (openly) to explain why they did this, so it's unclear whether the DCUM person is Maleficent_Proof. I don't think they are fwiw (other comments Maleficent has written seem counter to other things posted in this thread), but I'm not sure. The post they copied and pasted answers a somewhat different question than the one that was asked, and this is a pattern we have noticed that has happened in the thread before. It's possible someone is just cutting and pasting comments and not commenting in good faith. Can you say whether posting comments from Reddit here is allowed? If not, is it reasonable and feasible to ban this user, at least, if not more? I am sorry for interrupting your beautiful Sunday with this. |
NP Actually I’m fairly active in this thread, and no, this isn’t something thats happening regularly at all. It seems that one post(er) pulled something from Reddit. Maybe it was their Reddit post, maybe they just felt like the Reddit post clarified the position in a way they thought was helpful… who knows? But it really wasn’t a big deal at all, and there is no evidence of bad faith. This seems like yet another attempt to get this thread shut down because this poster above doesn’t like criticism of Blake Lively. Jeff, please don’t let these fake claims derail what most people are finding to be an interesting conversation. |
I posted this complaint, and I only happened to find one comment that was reposted to DCUM after being posted on Reddit. There certainly may be more. I recognized this comment when I read it on Reddit because I responded to it on DCUM, thinking it was a real comment! I have no way of knowing whether this reddit plagiarism is happening regularly (and neither do you, PP), but I note that it has been commented on MANY TIMES in the DCUM post that pro-Baldoni posters often post responses that don't really address the issue being discussed, but comment on a slightly different issue. I don't see how you can say there's "no evidence of bad faith" when some DCUM person actually reposted a Reddit comment without crediting it. I don't think the DCUM person was the same person as the Reddit account, because the Reddit person hates Taylor Swift and they live in Canada. I am not making fake claims?! This is a real thing that happened. Not my fault you guys are plagiarizing. Kind of seems, like saying here that it was "not a big deal" and "no evidence of bad faith" and that it's a "fake claim" like you are trolling. |
It seems the thread is driving someone very, very close to Blake and Ryan’s team batshit. I suspect this is because it must be at or near the top of page 1 of Google for certain keywords. If the thread of locked, presumably they believe it will fade from page 1 of Google on those keywords.
My 2 cents. |
The thread is certainly driving me batshit. I removed a bunch of posts today but generally I am taking a hands-off approach to the thread. I think both sides are a little crazy. If a bunch of people want to spend all day calling each other bots and paid agents, who am I to stop them? |
