The checks and balances require close coordination and knowledge. Also, usually, these buildings are open to all who have meetings.

It doesn't matter if you hate USAID. It doesn't matter if you think the money they spend is a waste of taxpayer dollars. It doesn't matter if you think Musk is a genius and a renegade and superhero all wrapped up into one. None of it matters. What matters are the laws of the United States of America say there is a right way to do things, and Musk is operating outside of those laws right now. He has no legal authority to do what he is doing. So he needs to be stopped and held accountable.

OP, thanks for this great info. I can see my VA rep Gerry Connolly in attendance but did not see my senators Warner or Kaine. I also saw Rep. Jamie Raskin there, in addition to Sen. Chris Van Hollen (go Maryland!). Does anyone know where we can get a definitive list of which pols were there? I want to call my senators and urge them to do more things like this.
