AEM shutting down

The poster saying the new page already has negative stories is not a surprise. I was on AEM when it first started and loved how people would look for solutions. Maybe their kid didn’t learn cursive and so they asked for resources so they could teach their kid at home. Everyone would jump in and help out. Now, they just complain that the school doesn’t do something. It’s a change in approach and i don’t think it really accomplishes anything.

Oh you’ll cave and join the new group when the next rezoning happens. That’s when the magic happens.

It's so true.

This. The fact that people posted their full on crazy under their real names was truly entertaining.

Interesting. Not previously aware of that group, but I do not know anyone who uses their real name on Facebook.

I miss vent lady and also the lady who claimed to be a child psychologist but was a lobbyist for a defense contractor. (yes, that's APE v's AME) Good times. Will miss.

Was the fake child psychologist lady in APE? They had so many fakes. I remember the APE lady who said to trust her it was safe to open schools because she was a doctor, and it turned out she was an anesthesiologist.

An anesthesiologist is a doctor, no?

Same. I’m sad, but it’s ok. It was interesting to see what teachers think about many of the issues, but I feel as parents you were mostly shouted down.

Kelly is making the right decision archiving the group vs. letting it “run wild”.

So she was a medical doctor. With a ton of Covid experience, and in the front lines of the pandemic.

Front lines? Ha! She was an anesthesiologist. Knew nothing about Covid. Was clueless when she herself got it.

WTF are all you boohooing about? The new site is up and running. No changes just a different name. Nothing to miss or be sad about.

You're talking about two different people.
