Reminds me when my college ROTC son came home complaining about having to carry a female's rucksack in a training event. She was holding back the platoon. There may be a place for her in the military, but it would not be in ground combat.

Honestly, his lack of experience and vocal protests about women in the military make him unfit. The fact he cheated on his wife or has a drinking problem aren’t relevant. I think Patel and Gabbard are bigger threats to America than Hegseth.

How is the drinking problem not relevant? It’s relevant for any job with any responsibility more than stocking shelves. Certainly relevant where the exercise of good judgment is the primary skill.

Why doesn’t someone following his illogical comments to the end.

On the one hand women in the military are amazing and capable. On the other he states his negative comments about them are in relation to standards. Since we use standards for recruitment, promotion, evaluation, either they are high enough to find and produce amazing and capable military women or their not and thus the people serving are not amazing and capable. Which does he believe? Or does he just think we’re consistently lucky?

The cheating and drinking are also relevant. Lack of character, doesn’t honor commitments, lack self-control, and his addiction to alcohol makes him easy to bribe. Any mid-grade officer up for a leadership
position with these issues publicly known would be passed over.
