What time is the board meeting today?

Meeting starts at 3:30 but the ELA curriculum part is scheduled for 6:45.

Thanks. I’ve never tuned into a MCPS Board meeting before. Board member Montoya asked a 7 minute rambly question that in summary was:how do you expect teachers to differentiate learning instruction in small groups of diverse learners when your class is 30 kids plus? Dr Cage basically responded by saying-we’ll figure it out over the summer and learn from how the most successful schools do it. Sigh

There were lots of people testifying in favor of adopting CKLA today. And MCPS did focus groups with more people. Plus a new MCPS staff member who implemented it in Louisiana and saw good results joined the presentation. All contributed to the approval.
