Celebrate at home with your family?

Yes won’t be the same but a joyous day indeed it will be

Traveler—instacart delivery would be fine for a porch delivery tomorrow

I deliberately cleaned out the fridge before we left. I do have half a dozen eggs that should still be good, but totally out of milk, bread, yogurt, fresh vegetables, etc. My plan to was to hit the store when we get back - ha! Guess we'll be living on whatever canned soup is already in our cupboard for the next week or so.

Thanks OP for the maps- really interesting to see how it shapes up!

Sniw is not supposed to start till late. I think you have time for a grocery run.

Um, why not order groceries ahead of time?

I was impressed with Wegmans this evening which was busy restocking. I was there at 5 pm so maybe just timed it well. Some items seemed to move as quickly as they could get them out.

We were at Giant late this afternoon. It was busy, but seemed to be well stocked.

This is hilarious. Someone that actually needs TP and eggs before snow! Ha ha. I thought people were just crazy panic.
I’m the person you quoted. Costco had some TP left but no eggs. Luckily I grabbed one of the last pack of eggs on the shelf at Safeway. I guess everyone’s making chili today, not one can of beans to be found. 🤣

I was at Trader Joe’s on Friday, and things were well stocked, but the bean shelves were looking pretty bare! I agree with your chili comment.

I will be making chicken soup and homemade sourdough. Making the soup stock today and putting my dough to rise in the fridge overnight. I am a Fed, so I will have to telework tomorrow, but it will be nice to have the house smelling good and my teens fed.

Stay safe everyone!

Hit Giant at about 8 this morning and it was fine. Not crowded and pretty stocked. DH drive by a TJs last night and said it looked like a zoo.

OP here. So the below will *not* happen, but one model went bonkers and came up with this! Purely posting for the heck of it:

At least, I don't *think* it will happen. Some other models are coming in with higher totals than yesterday too, which is why Capital Weather Gang at WaPo increased their total snowfall to 6-10 inches this morning.

Hmmm.

17"?!? Let's go!

Yes, I know this won't happen but man it would be fun!

That looks to be not too far off of the latest Euro run which had most of Fairfax County ~12.5” and DC at 11.7”.

OP here again. Sorry, getting all excited. There's another winter event coming next week, FYI...

It's cute that some of the models confuse inches and centimeters.
