Same op same
Its killing me |
Ironic, since gas powered blowers are much more quiet. The electric ones are about 10-20db higher in noise pollution, and that's exponentially way higher. |
| It's so wasteful and annoying watching guys blowing things in the road. Like if it's in the road, it will get run over anyway. It doesn't need to be blowed at all. |
That’s not true. Gas leaf blowers are considerably louder and their sound is more penetrating when indoors. Electrics have a higher pitch, but they aren’t as loud and their sound doesn’t carry as much. |
Opposite of what you said. How odd you are completely wrong. Shilling for something? |
One of the TV channels in DC did a story about leaf blowers last week. They tested a bunch of different brands of gas and electric blowers and several of the electric blowers were louder than some of the gas blowers. |
Try a Red Wing when they are in town. |
| Lower MoCo here. Gasoline-powered leaf blowers going full blast all morning on my block. |
| Also, just leave the leaves. Seriously. You're basically removing free nutrients. Clear pathways and such but: leave the leaves. Better for the environment and your soil quality. |
| Editorial cartoon in today's Washington Post, p. A18 (may be behind a paywall): ""If there can be a no-mow May, why not a no-blow November"? |
I blow everything to the grass, and then leave it, or mulch it with the mower if it's really thick. I'm only blowing my driveway and walkway. |
| This is why DC banned gas powered leaf blowers. It’s been MUCH nicer. |
| Go to your office instead. |
| Office is closed due to government shutdown. |
“Growing up” is about thinking of others and adjusting your (selfish) behavior to facilitate living in a society. You seem to have the wisdom of a teenager. |
