Only Jeff has the proof. I suspect those similar posts in UVA and Harvard are from the same persons. |
Good luck to all. My kid got rejected from UVA for high school, went to an Ivy, and has now been admitted to UVA Law. Sometimes things workout over the long term. |
It's only a couple hours drive to Charlottesville from NoVA. Why not drive down tomorrow morning, and spend the day taking some fun photos (in the newly purchased gear) and a celebratory lunch? |
Not necessarily. The academic bar is much lower for athletes, regardless of school. They have a sports job to do. --HS teacher who sees what students can do and where they end up. |
I have no reason to lie. My son is Asian American and made 5 B's. He had a few A-, but most of grades were A. We are surprised. |
If at Harvard athletes get 1370s, it can certainly happen at UVA. https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2023/11/16/2027-class-feature-3/ |
+1. The three football students my son lived with second year at UVA at were rude, selfish and didn't give a f@ck about anyone but themselves. And they were poor students. Same at my SLAC. I don't understand theUSA Higher Ed obsession with it, especially with schools with mediocre teams. Notre Dame yes. Lower level SLACs, no |
Nevermind. |
This is the most important part- it’s a public university that is massive. It can hide a lot of low score admits compared to other colleges. |
UVA has their online bookstore with plenty of swag ready to ship! Congrats! |
3.9, 1600, national level ECs at a rigorous private school… rejected. We are furious! |
I went to Harvard. I went to the Harvard Yale game. Once. Waste of time. |
Softs? |
ngl, UVA should be audited as a state U. |
UVA admits recruited athletes in the EA round, not ED. You all are arguing with a troll. |
