DP - sale is 40% through 12/7. This is a good neutral terrazzo. https://www.porcelanosa.com/us/treviso-blanco-120x120 |
+1 very curious to see if PP weighs in as small kitchens are tough to manage selections--especially tile--and keep it streamlined and elegant. |
Honestly I’d do a pretty tile that goes with mid century. I love terrazzo. I have had slate looking tile and now live in a house with all hardwood. The occasional water spills you don’t notice are annoying. We haven’t lived her 6 months and the dog bowl has already left rings (we got a mat but the first one wasn’t good enough). |
One thing on tile- we have heated tiles and it is very lovely in the winter. Easy to clean. |
This is nice and neutral but if you are going with terrazzo, I would go with a more impactful one. This one is a bit of a snooze. |
PP - OP would probably have to look into a custom terrazzo pour for something really good, otherwise to get large format terrazzo tiles in the US is pretty hard which is probably why the "terrazzo look" tile from Porcelanosa is pretty neutral. |
I have tile and cook for hours at a time, meal prepping, etc. for the week and have zero issues. I am in my 50s, so not a spring chicken. I don't have fatigue mats or even runners in my kitchen (also great solutions for those that complain about it being hard on your legs - and a way to change your decor easily). |
