If you are over 45 and feel you are aging well

I'm very much into nutrition and eat low carb, whole foods, lots of veggies and fish. No refined sugar. I've always taken care of my skin and teeth, nothing ages you more than worn, uneven, stained teeth. As long as one has tons of money and good health, it's easy.

I agree and unfortunately I have stained, unattractive teeth. My skin, hair, weight, health habits are all good. Finally made a consult appointment for Invisalign. I’m so healthy and love the outdoors, but I feel like my teeth belong to someone who did drugs, smoked, etc. Hate them.

In the meantime, I’m doing Botox in my 11s and considering filler in nasolabial folds.

Don’t do the nasolabial folds. They suck but there is literally no way to fix them that doesn’t make you look really weird.

I have them too. Ugh. It’s all I see when I look in the mirror.

Being social has nothing to do with skincare.

Dp. No, but it brings happiness, which makes pp look good. Mean, unhappy people don't look that good when they're older. Being nice, in shape and happy goes a long way in making older people look good. Also, no booze.

You think only nice and happy people are social? And mean and unhappy people aren’t? Again, has nothing to do with skincare.

You're being overly literal. PP is saying that by living a good, fulfilling, happy life, it helps her look good.

You and pp are being overly literal if you think being social helps one look more youthful.

Positive mental health absolutely shows on the face.

You’re full of sh!t.

Wow.

7-7.5 is my sweet spot too. Any more and I’m in a fog (and look tired).

Those of you who are religious about sunscreen- does that include winter? Do you reapply during the day even if you haven’t sweated? I know chemical sunscreen wears off but I’ve been assuming that my zinc sunscreen continues to work all day as long as it’s not rubbed or sweated off.

I work from home so I don’t wear it in the winter, when I spend very little time outside. But maybe I should since my desk is in front of a window?

I drink a small espresso in the AM and then it's matcha/herbal teas in the afternoon. Cold press juices. I never eat "fast food" and when I do dine out, I stick to vegetarian options.

Yoga, barre and pilates 6x a week, plus I walk a mile or more a day. My yoga practice is generally 90 minutes long. Sauna 1-2x a week.

I've been using various retinol products since I was 16, along with sun screen, and my skin looks great. My skin care is not complicated, but I use only the best--La Prarie. I get about 10 hours of sleep every night too. I also retired at 21, so that helps.

Live your life, girl! I’m jealous!

I think if you're within a meter of a window you need it indoors.
I wear it during the winter, on rainy days, basically all the time, and I reapply after 2 hours. I also wear a hat. I use retinol though.

Have good genes and avoid stress, sugar and sun.

So many folks here don't drink. I do drink. I'm 55 and have beautiful skin. I drink 4 cups of coffee a day. I am thin and work out every day, but so much of this is genetics.

They maybe nasolabial folds don't suck. If we need them to look normal, then there's no need to fix them. They are awesome!

Botox, tons of water, and zero sun. I'm also obese, and we can debate the health and beauty of that all day long, but it keeps me from looking old and haggard in the face.

Yes, I wear it year round. When I put it on and if I reapply it really depends on what I'm doing that day. I strive to always have it on before I walk out of the house (even if it's to take the trash down). I don't reappy it unless I've had 2 hours of sun exposure. Whether it's chemical or physical/barrier sunscreens (like those with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) in addition to being removed because of sweating, swimming, wiping, etc., they all break down with UV exposure. THAT is why, no matter what you're doing, you have to reapply. HTH

Exactly - both of my grandmothers didn't drink, didn't smoke, ate the cleanest Mediterranean diets you can imagine, stayed out of the sun, were a healthy weight, but looked like old ladies when they became old ladies. Time comes for all of us.
