+1 I’ll add: a giant house, a prestigious high paying career, an overflowing closet of clothes. |
Sushi, designer anything at all, a house (condos for life!), fancy restaurants. |
A boat- so expensive. So many intoxicated boaters.
A vacation home - would rather go different places than return to same place over and over. A pool- too much work, liability. |
expensive skincare, designer purses |
A vacation home is an investment especially if you rent out. |
More than two kids. |
Add to this, Disney World. I've been, both with kids and without, last time in 2022. It was awful, way too crowded now and ridiculously expensive. I will never go back. I don't get people who want to make that their vacation every year. |
A single family house in a “desirable” suburban neighborhood. Or even semi-suburban like CCMD. Tried it. Hate it. Give me multi-family housing in a real city any day. |
A hot tub. |
Travel. It's miserable to travel now, I would rather use my money in other ways. |
This is the only one where I'll say the poster is absolutely misguided 🤣🤣 |
NP. This has to be a truth for everybody, across the board, no exceptions tolerated/ Is this just because you declared it? |
A second home. It's a lot of work and a lot of money. |
Nope. I don't have an engagement ring (I'm not the PP). First husband let his sister convince him I didn't mean it. Idiot. Second husband believed me. Married 25 yrs. |
Most of mine have been taken, but I'll say additional responsibility at work or higher titles. I've reached a stage where I'm content with my work life balance and compensation and I just want to carry on with regular cost of living raises. Unfortunately, that's frowned upon and I'm supposed to keep striving for more |
