One year I did a pair of kitchen shears (you can usually get the Wusthof or Henckels ones on sale for under 20 dollars on black friday at Macy's etc.) for the office gift exchange and they were frequently stolen.

My husband got me these scissors a few years ago because I get a ton of packages and am always looking for scissors - these are so glam and work really well. One of my favorite gifts even though he's gotten me much pricier stuff. I've gotten the matching desk accessories too and have a pair upstairs now as well.
