Since Brendan Banfield has not spoken to police, seems likely that they are hoping the au pair flips in exchange for a plea deal.

Anyone know how many months this au pair had been living with Banfields?

I was not hugely shocked at the presence of a gun in the house in general, but it's surprising that the au pair was in possession of a gun and used it. I realize sometimes people are careless with their gun storage, but the Banfields don't exactly fit that profile - she's a nurse and he's a federal officer - these are people who are highly likely to keep a firearm well-secured, especially with a young child in the home. But maybe not. Would explain why the au pair had a gun that morning.

I think that’s Banfield not his mom… He talks about “mom” dreaming something in one post; that would be a weird way for his mom to talk about herself in the third person.

It’s Brendan’s mom, Tess. Most of the posts before the murder are of flowers and located in NY. She was referring to her mom.

From watching csi, I think you can, but it’s impossible to get rid of all of it. It lands on your clothes, your hair, your skin, etc. But even if they found it, it sounds like they were really being strategic in how and when they wanted to charge them. I hope the police dept can provide more detail on their reasoning and strategy after this is over. It’s like an episode of law and order. I never watched much when it was on, but I feel the urge to watch some episodes now. Anyone know if it’s streaming?

They seem to be trying to get her to flip on Brendan Banfield to strengthen their case. Then they will offer her a plea.

i know someone that knew Juliana, she was telling people how great her bf was (brendan), and i did saw the picture juliana posted to her close friends with him.

So the wife knew about the relationship with the au pair and then the au pair suddenly went crazy and killed both? or was she in a relationship with both the husband and wife?

I still find it so odd… So AP shoots Ryan for whatever reason and then calls 911 and hangs up? 15 minutes later she calls again and says she thinks her “friend” is hurt and BB immediately gets on the line and says he shot a guy for stabbing his wife. Why did AP call originally if she did the shooting? If they waited 15 minutes to get their stories straight before calling again… why were there stories so UNstraight still? I think there’s something we’re missing. What happened during those 15 minutes? BB is persuading AP he’ll take the fall for her? But why? And why would AP shoot someone. Obviously the fact they’re now together suggests a certain angle, but what if that’s wrong? What if that happened post-death (perhaps BB pounced) and AP shot Ryan for some other reason.

Also, when AP said I think my friend is hurt… Do we know she mean Ryan and not CB? Makes more sense to say she “thinks” someone she found stabbed is hurt than someone she personally just shot.
