CSPAN mentioned this too. Apparently McCarthy's ally blocked the microphone and Gaetz spoke from Democratic side. |
LMAO... true FA/FO moment for McCarthy. He showed he couldn't be trusted and as a result, in the end he couldn't get the support he needed. |
I’m no expert, but I think given his myeloma diagnosis he is unlikely to be able to do the job, even if he wants it. |
Given that Democrats control the Senate and the Presidency, no bill will become law without Democratic support. If the Republicans choose a Speaker who is not prepared to compromise with Democrats, it is a prescription for a stalemate, which will lead to a government shutdown when the CR expires. So, Republicans will now have to decide whether they want to be a part of destruction, or compromise.
|
Odds on these dipshits still voting on the next speaker when the CR expires? |
Who are they even going to vote on?! |
Uhh, haven’t you figured out by now that they very much want to be the party of destruction? |
Not all of them. A number of them voted for the compromise CR. |
I am sure they will flail around with many many names. |
LOL thanks for the chuckle! I'm sure this will be the Republican spin - you are good! |
McCarthy deserves the beating he got - he has no integrity, he lied to everyone on every occasion. He sold his soul to be speaker and deserve the shame 100% |
Would love the shitshow even more if Republicans expel Matt Gaetz from the house! |
Lol we all know which they will choose. Sadly. Where have the adults gone??? |
How exactly would they even do that? |
