I find it rather creepy that she is on the PTA of a school that none of her kids attend. I would feel weird about any adult who did the same.

Would you rather the PTA go without needed leadership and support? Because that's why Miranda has continued to be involved with Drew PTA even after her kids in Montessori left because Montessori moved out of the building. Drew PTA didn't have the people they needed step up! So it's creepy that someone who lives in the neighborhood wants to support the neighborhood school whether they have kids in the school or not? Would you find it creepy for an adult who moved to the neighborhood but doesn't have kids or whose kids attended school in their previous home location to care about their surrounding community and join the neighborhood school's PTA? Especially if it's a school that has traditionally struggled to solicit strong PTA participation?

Relax. Drew can recruit their own volunteers, just like other PTAs in Arlington. They don't need help from a well intentioned white woman whose kids don't even go to their school.

People keep saying she's more qualified than Angelo but how exactly? Just because she ran and lost so she has name recognition? That's not the same as being experienced or qualified.

I can't believe this is even a question. Angelo is barely qualified to be my kids' Cub Scout leader, let alone make decisions across the board for APS.
