Newborn Photographer Recs

| I’m due in two weeks and just found out we need to find a new newborn photographer. Can anyone recommend one that is low key and fairly inexpensive? The one we originally hired (and who did our older son’s shoot) only charged around $300 and he gave us a Zip drive with all the pictures. We are looking for something similar if anyone can recommend someone. |

| I asked for quotes on the Washington DC area moms page on FB and nothing was inexpensive. Everything was significantly more. We did first 48 pics with the hospital photographer at sibley and our iPhone pictures were on par, I’d not better. We did photos at jcPenney about 3 weeks later that were affordable and easy going. |

Cerissa starts at $400. I had her do some of my pre-wedding events and my bridesmaids have since gone to her for family and newborn shots. She has two little ones and just seems to know when the right moments are coming for the photos and how they get the babies to behave. |

| We worked with Misty Rodda and loved her. Was in $400 range. I just tried to find a more inexpensive option too and could not. In the end, I realized how hard newborn dhoots are and was glad we went for it. We will try to save another year. |

I recently looked and everything that was $300 required us to come to a studio and looked cheesy. I ended up doing a mini session with Karolina at the Kama photography, who I adore, and was happy. I got 10 retouched photo and paid extra for 5 more. For my first I used her for a full newborn shoot and the cost was closer tp $600 but I got more photos.
