| Just wondering -- does anyone know anything about the neighborhoods near Eliot-Hine Middle School (1839 Constitution Avenue, NE) and Kelly Miller Middle School (301 49th Street, NE), the locations of the Thurs night DC H1N1 clinics? |
| Eliot-Hine is right by RFK. I think I'd be a lot more comfortable there than at the other location. And this is coming from someone who lives in a part of the city that a lot of people still see as sketchy and "bad." |

I would feel perfectly comfortable going to Eliot-Hine. That's where most Hill families will be vaccinated, probably, as it's the closest to us.
But I have a high tolerance. I'm probably going to Ballou in Anacostia (definitely a much worse neighborhood than around Eliot-Hine, not even a question). |
| I live near Eliot-Hine and I would have no problem going there for h1n1 vaccine. It's a perfectly fine neighborhood and you shouldn't have a problem parking within a block or two of the school. Regardless of where you go, I would imagine it's going to be way too crowded for any type of dangerous activity to go on, and it seems to me that people who are on line for the h1n1 vaccine are not likely to be the criminal types. |

I had to walk to my car alone last night after the Cardozo clinic, and I parked near a ginormous public housing complex. Away from the crowds, fwiw.
When I got to my car it was surrounded by ... paraphernalia that wasn't there earlier. Luckily for me, the paraphernalia owners had left by 9:30, when I arrived. |
