I know there a lots of lawyers out there. I will be taking the bar with a little one (3 months) and would appreciate any advice. Thanks |
I took the NY bar last summer and it was tough, but not as hard as any of my law school exams, though it was longer. My best advice is to just try to keep to the BarBri schedule as much as possible. There will be days when you can't keep with the schedule but on a week by week basis try not to fall too hard behind. Good luck! |
Been there. My daughter was 4 months when I took the exam. I didn't have any delivery complications so I was able to study as planned. The key is getting the support you need to study. You will be exhausted from juggling hte two but it will all be over in a matter of a few months. I felt guilty early on that I wasn't spending enough time with my daugther but my husband put it all in perspective and said "you have a lifetime together, 2 months is a blip on the radar". It was true before I knew it I was taking the exam and then celebrated by enjoying a 2 week getaway with just the baby and my husband. So good luck and stick to the BarBri proposed schedule since its pretty fail proof.
