Fun things to do in NYC for a few hours for a 6 year old

Anonymous
We are going to the NYC suburbs for a Saturday night wedding and want to go into NYC Saturday morning/early afternoon. We will have about 3-4 hours. What’s fun and do-able for a 6year old girl? She will be staying up kinda late for the the party so don’t want to wear her out too much, but figure we are close and have a few hours to kill. We took her to Central Park last year, (not opposed to doing it again) and also American Girl store (opposed to doing it again). She very girly.

They already did American Girl. Why respond when you can’t even bother to read the OP’s post?

The Oculus (the shopping center in the basement of the WTC) + lunch/snack in Eataly, which is a flooors above the Oculus + the playgrounds along the Hudson River by the Oculus.

The shops in the Oculus are not great for a 6-year-old, but the Oculus area is fun and beautiful, and there are kiosks with things that might appeal to a 6-year-old.

There might be some toy stores in the underground corridor leading from the Oculus to the World Financial Center (toward the Hudson River playgrounds).

I recently went there with my six and eight-year-olds. We did a lot of fun things. But probably our favorite was taking the Staten Island fairly back-and-forth past the Statue of Liberty and then riding the Seaglass carousel in battery Park. It’s so beautiful.

That’s if you don’t want to see a Broadway show. We saw Aladdin and loved it.

I suggested this to my 7yo and she was terrified. She is very good at math btw.

I just spent a few days in NYC with my 7yo. By far her favorite thing was the amusement park in the Central Park. I wasn't even aware this existed. It's not crowded so she got spent many hours on all of the rides. Not exactly my idea of fun but this is what she wanted.
