Himself, faithfully. Our children.

Three great children who are now successful young adults. But the greatest non-kid gift is that he has always let me be me and has been incredibly supportive of the career moves I've made.

He's given me some expensive things, but what I most appreciate are the every day little things.

Like when he came home with hand cream saying, "Look! Isn't this the same brand and scent of that candle you really liked a few years ago?"
Or when he changed how he put carrots in the salads he makes for me after he overheard me telling a friend I don't like round-cut carrots.
Or when I kept saying I needed to take off my nail polish and he came home with nail polish remover saying, "I asked a teenage girl and she swore she and all her friends use this all the time."
Or yesterday when we talked at work and then he had matzoh ball soup and vitamin C lollipops delivered to me for lunch because I sounded sick.

Those are the types of things that tell me he's listening and paying attention and loves me. Sure, jewelry and trips are nice. But you can't buy this stuff that I appreciate.

Stop with the sanctimonious “children” answer.

An awesome weekend away to see my favorite NFL team play and explore their city. I got to meet my favorite player. (I’m a woman. Just a football nut.)

No cheese or snark or sanctimony...he encouraged and supported my desire to be a SAHM. He also gave me a nice piece of jewelry (that I chose) following the birth of each child.

He used to get me jewelry but I never loved any of it. Liked the idea though.

Made me a slide show of photos that he gave to me on a new iPad. I know it took hours and hours.
