International Soccer Camp

We are interested in sending our son and daughter to a camp in Spain. Has anyone ever participated in one of these international soccer camps? Thanks!

Make sure there's a lot of tourist activities, all camps are the same, the difference is he is in Spain and not some suburban soccer field.

We are overseas at an international school and several of our teammates go to Europe for Summer training camps (German kids to Germany, French to France, etc). The feedback we've gotten is to try to go to "actual" club-sponsored camp and not a "club-related" camp. For example, if you can go to the Barcelona camp run at the Nou Camp with the Barca coaches and whatnot, great. If you go to the Barcelona camp in some other city that is basically a 'franchise' of Barcelona you won't necessarily get the same level of training. Same applies to Arsenal, Ajax, Bayern Munich, etc.

We did a camp with our entire team in St. Tropez. It was sponsored by some local French side and while the football wasn't really the greatest the tourist activities were top notch.

My DC participated in a European club camp, it was AMAZING. We did not do a franchise camp. DC used the actual training facilities that the team used. There were kids from all over Euroupe, it was a great experience, well run and professional, can not recommend it enough.

Please include fees so that we know what to compare with and how affordable an international camp is.
