Democrats are more concerned about Trump visiting the resting places of the Fallen than what happened to cause these Marines to fall. Democrats are the political animals.

They will disrespect these Gold Star families while attacking Trump for attacking Gold Star Families.

I would think my child being killed would be extremely sad.

You have no clue what these families have experienced. How is a ceremony honoring the Fallen and Trump being invited by the families to participate in the ceremony desecration of the Fallen’s graves? Are these parents just supposed to pretend their children are sleeping and not talk about them anymore? Trump shows up because Biden won’t even say our dead Service Member’s names. Their dead children; their Commander in Chief won’t even say their names.

Trump didn’t mention the election, his campaign, voting for him, etc.

The ceremony took place on the 3rd anniversary of the bombing. It wasn’t set up just so Trump could show up in Arlington.

Trump said zero about the upcoming election.

Did he show up last year? The year before? Is there a Presidential race going on this year?

So Trump should have told the Abbey Gate families to piss off, like Biden and Harris have?

If Trump had actually made a campaign ad out of the footage he would be wrong. But he didn’t. he accepted the invitation from the families, laid a wreath at THEIR request, and spent time with them. On the actual 3rd anniversary of the bombing and deaths of their loved ones.

I don’t know if the Abbey Gate families have held a ceremony at Arlington before. This might be the first year they could mentally have come to terms with the deaths of their children and arranged a ceremony. It takes time to mourn and grieve and accept the sudden, violent death of your child.

I am sure you have a great criticism of these families waiting.

They desecrated the graves and memories of their children in service of a conman.

My heart and sympathy is with all these families but stop pretending like once someone serves or dies serving, they or their families are immune from making mistakes or doing anything wrong. Hero worship is wrong. And before you come after me, my father, my FIL, and my husband all served and all suffered on one way or another for it. The hero worship is creepy authoritarian bs.
