Gardening fun. How do you kill and dispose of bugs?

Anonymous
Just went out into my garden and knocked about 20 asparagus beetles off my 4 plants. I can't believe there are so many. The last few days I pinched off a few here and there but wow, with the May heat I guess most of them woke up. I only planted the asparagus last year, so I don't have very many.

So how do you all dispose of the bug corpses that you pick off your plants? Toilet? Garbage disposal? Dump it back in the yard? (I worry some of the beetles are only feigning death and dumping them will allow them to dry off and come back to life.) Silly question, I know. But these are the things I think about when I'm on my laptop with a cup full of soapy water and drowned bugs next to me.

What a weird question ha. Put in trash or smash to make sure they are dead.

OP. Totally procrastinating here, which is why i am asking such a weird question.

But trash? How does that work? I use a cup of soapy water to collect the bugs. I'm not gonna strain the bugs out!

Yard trim trash can. Where the weeds go too since I can’t compost those.

Do you not have a yard? Most people dump them in the grass because there are other bugs that get rid of them for you.

Dump them in the grass? I feel like they will dry off and walk off the drowning. I guess I could step on them first. Squish!!

Leave them for a few minutes to ensure they've drowned and then dump
