| I met some one who said that Homeopathy has made a huge difference in the language development of their ASD kid. Has any one tried Homeopathy for their ASD child ? did it work and who did you go to ? |
| Not sure that it's "homeopathy" (?) but the stuff that Bioray has for speech helped initially for us. |
| Homeopathy is a total scam and if you do a bit of reading on the claims it makes (like diluting something makes it more worth powerful) you will quickly see for yourself. It is at best an expensive placebo, and can actually be dangerous due to weak regulation. Look up what happened with Hyland’s teething tablets. It is snake oil basically and there are so many better ways to help an autistic child. |
Well certain regular children's medicines have also been recalled like Tylenol etc, does that mean all the homeopathic medicines are dangerous to consume ?. Also considering the fact that there are many Universities in US that offer a doctorate program in Homeopathy and Natural medicine. I have read that Homeopathy offers cures for certain diseases that are not present in mainstream medicine. |
How long did you use it and how old is your DC. |
Total lack of critical thinking here. |

Natural medicine is completely different from homeopathy.
Homeopathy dilutes substances until there is virtually nothing left in it but water, or a solid like sugar. And it believes that the vibrations of the molecules are left behind. And “that” is what works. Natural medicine, on the other hand, has proven benefits in many circumstances. Things like herbs or other supplements. After all, aspirin is derived from willow bark. |
DC is now 4.5, we started Bioray stuff when he turned 2. We're still giving it now, but much less than we used to. We started according to the protocol they recommend - the liver support first (since we had issues with liver enzymes too high - your regular pediatrician can check that), adding the adrenal support stuff, and then Cytoflora. The Cyto is what seemed to flick the switch on the speech. It's some sort of prebiotic formula. If we stopped it then the speech was really much less clear. Can't remember if he lost words exactly but there was a huge difference in understandability, so we knew we had to start it again. We've finally started reducing the doses and don't see a big drop, so maybe it's less effective for us these days. Good luck! |
Critical Analysis of Homeopathy would be ??? |
| Not sure about Autism but one of my in-laws got homeopathic treatment for his kidney problems. He had tried various main stream treatments that did not work and then found a homeopathic medicine that seems to have cured his issues. |
What University offers a doctorate program in Homeopathy? I am a pretty open-minded thinker and of course believe in the importance of nutrition and potentially supplements. But I have never read or experienced one thing that would make me think that there is any science behind Homeopathy. If there is, or if there are universiities that believe it, I am interested in reading more. FWIW, I have read A LOT about addressing neurological issues by fixing gut issues and working on immune issues, using Fish Oil, Magnesium, etc. None of the most well-known, mainstream books mentions Homeopathy. |

In the United States, one can only formally get an accreditation for homeopathy by becoming a naturopathic doctor at a place like Bastyr University. However, there are places outside the United States where homeopathic universities exist. Buying homeopathic medicines at Whole Foods is the same as buying any over-the-counter medicine to treat acute symptoms. And sometimes, what is "usually" recommended does not usually work. My son had colic at 4 months and chamomila is what is often recommended, but he actually needed colocynth. I finally put him down and went to my books. I dissolved some in water and placed some on his tongue and literally, 4 hours of crying stopped in minutes and he never had colic again.
I was introduced to homeopathy in desperation as a teenager. I was clearly very ill, my parents had taken me to multiple doctors for a year who could not figure out what was wrong with me (in hindsight, it was likely problems with my thyroid) but tests kept coming back in the normal range. A friend sent me to a MD who specialized in homeopathy. In three months, my life had turned around. I have multiple stories like this in my family, but then I have studied homeopathy for 30 years as an avocation and when I tell family members to take something for acute symptoms, it usually helps. Let's be clear: physical ailments are more likely to be responsive to homeopathic treatment, but issues involving brain function will not be cured. They may be able to be mitigated, but in order to undertake homeopathic treatment to affect any underlying issues or treat a deep, chronic condition, you need someone who understands the medicines, the disease process and the response to the medicine and a great deal of patience from the client. There are very few people in the U.S. who have the training and experience to do this correctly. I wish there was more research into homeopathic treatment because I have seen it bring about amazing improvements in health. It is not all placebo. |
Do you have any recommendations of Homeopathic doctors who have the training and experience you are talking about, thanks. |

I've seen some remarkable outcomes in the treatment of ASD with homeopathy. Please don't let others discourage you from looking into it. Some of the well-known practitioners include:

My cousin was a scientist with the FDA.
The stuff that researchers find in unregulated supplements would blow your mind. For instance: sand. Just capsules with sand. Elevated liver enzymes are no joke. Consult a licensed and trained board certified physician before you give anything wacky to your kids! |
