I heard DC cough a few times, he has clear nasal drip and stuffy looking eyes. No fever, but a little less energy than normal. With the whole SF thing going on...should I keep him home for minor symptoms?

clear nasal drip is allergy.
yellow/green means infection.
I would keep kiddo home for his own comfort.

Colds also produce a clear drip, except first thing in the morning. If you have the luxury of keeping the kid at home, by all means, do so. But with no fever, this is a minor thing.

He has no history of allergies, and blew a big wad earlier today. Oh I hope I don't get it!!!

There is definitely something going around that is not flu. Throat, fever, etc. - A bad bug but not as last-longing or hard-hitting. Flu tends to hit you all at once from out of nowhere - so maybe it's just a virus that will be gone in a couple of days!

We've had a sore throat, fever combo with 1 throw up session from theyounger kids.

My DD has had a clear nose drip and a cough for almost the entire month. (She's 10 mo) We went to the Ped - and of course DD didn't show any symptoms when we were there. But, she has energy, no temp, etc. We go back to the Ped on the 30th. DD has sneezed in my face and wiped my face after she has wiped her nose (before I could get to it), and I haven't gotten anything. I honestly think it's allergies (I know - they say babies under 1 yr can't get allergies) or due to the change in weather (warm, cold, warm, cold, etc). She just doesn't seem sick.

ugh, sneezing a lot this morning! I'll keep him home. I don't want him sneezing all over the other kids.

If I kept my dd home every time she sneezed or had a runny nose, we'd never leave the house all winter. If I kept myself home every time I sneezed, I'd lose my job.

It's just a cold. Keep going with life.

Mine had clear drip yesterday. Today, it's green. Keeping him home so he can get some sleep. No fever.
