Temperature to run outside

Just out of curiosity, what’s the minimum temp that you’ll run outside and the maximum temp? For me I will not run outside unless it’s above 32 or below 80.

There's no magic temperature for me.

A lot depends on humidity and wind and clouds. I've gone running on days where 40 degrees/cloudy feels colder than 28 degrees/sunny.

I don't run for my own fitness, I run for the dog, who loves the cold. So it's every day, with no minimum temp. I won't run on ice, though, for my own safety. The dog just skates happily along and crashes into things, but no thanks for me...

I've learned that 25 (but no wind) is actually my ideal preferred running temperature. I don't have a "low" - I ran all through all the cold weather spells we've had this year. I am definitely a cold/winter weather runner.

Summer is awful here. I hate it. I might sneak in MAX 20-30 minutes, when it's hopefully not too sunny, humid, or with at least a breeze. I often quit running in the summer, period. I can't breathe in the thick air, so turn to cross training.

Guess I'm a wimp. I hate breathing in sub-30 degree air when I'm running. Last time I tried that, I spent the rest of the morning coughing my lungs up. Now I head for the gym when it's much below freezing.

40 is my limit unless it's a race day or I NEED to do it because I'm training for something.

75 max

My min is 10 air temp. With wind chill, I can go to 0 or a few degrees below.

Max is 90.

Maybe 10 is my minimum? But really it's about whether ice is on the street/trails.

My max is about 80-85.

min 20 (if it's not icy) max 85-90 depending on humidity

I won’t run on ice or if it’s super windy. We lived in MI for a decade and it gets very cold there. As long as the path wasn’t hazardous I’d be out there, barring frostbite advisories (frostbite risk with 5 minute exposure).

I’m far more sensitive to heat, so depending on humidity and the heat index, I usually cut off around 75 degrees, which means early morning or late evening runs. I’ll pass out if I get overheated, and fainting on the trail isn’t an ideal situation, so avoiding heat is a must.

My range is usually 10-90. The lower and upper ranges also vary depending on windchill/ humidity. Overall, It’s just downright unpleasant on the other side of both of those temps. You also need the proper gear on both ends of the spectrum.
