Whole 30 - how did it make you feel

Anonymous
If you did Whole 30, did you have any expectations regarding body changes and did you see any changes? Did you make long term diet changes after doing this?

I'm almost halfway done and have been thinking about these things. I don't really know anyone else who has ever done Whole 30, besides my trainer, so I'm interested in hearing from others. I am finding that I feel much better - joint pain has disappeared, I don't feel like food controls me, etc. I think that I should stick with some of the changes I've made, but I can't imagine going without dairy and alcohol forever.

Did you read the book and learn about adding food back to your diet after the 30 days is up? Add foods back in one at a time so you can see how they affect you. Then you can decide if dairy and alcohol is worth it.

NO cravings. It’s unreal. I am someone who was borderline binge eating. Now I can walk by cake and not even notice it. It’s amazing.

Healthy but I felt like a bit of a control freak cutting out whole food groups--like dairy.

I've never felt better than I did on the Whole 30. Corn, wheat and legumes are not my friends.

Did anyone lose weight? Or inches?

OP here. Me too and I’m so surprised. Someone handed me a piece of cake last night and I LOVE cake. But I just gave it away and it didn’t bother me at all.

Just did my first one and lost 6lbs. Was really hoping for more though.

However - I have never felt better. Don’t miss the feeling of being bloated and gassy.

I lost 20 lbs, I needed to, I had plumped up from indulging my sweet tooth too often.
I mainly wanted to break my sugar habit and I did, also my cheese plate as a meal habit.

I followed the food freedom forever plan for re entry and that has been super helpful in getting back to regular life and learning what foods made feel puffy, or stuffy headed or my joints in my fingers swell up.
