Feedback on Dr. Monthy?

Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Monthy at GW? I am going for my 1st OB appointment with her. I would appreciate hearing form anyone who knows anything about her.

I delivered at GW this past July and Dr. Monthy was my OB. I saw her in the beginning and at the end of my pregnancy. She was on maternity leave in the middle. I think she is great. Pretty laid back and easy going. Willing to answer questions and ask questions. I always felt very comfortable with her and never had any complaints. She was also very helpful after delivery when I ended up with mastitis. She is, I believe, only in the office on MWF so that limits your appt days if it matters. She did not deliver my baby as Dr. Bathgate was on call at the time.

I was in the same situation as the PP - I saw Dr. Monthy just before and just after her own maternity leave. Didn't like her. She was cold and brusque, almost pissy, and physically rougher than I thought necessary. (I took the second appointment with her thinking that I'd caught her on an off-day the first time, but nope, she was just the same on the second visit.) She made me feel like my questions and concerns were dumb, which I thought was strange, since she was pregnant herself at my first visit! You shouldn't get one-word answers from your doctor, you know?

Now, Dr. Marfori in the same practice is wonderful. If I were pregnant right now, I wouldn't recommend her because I wouldn't want her to get all booked up! (Kidding, of course.) She was friendly and respectful and a pleasure to deal with.
