I'm trying to lose 20-25 pounds. I lost the first 10 quickly but have since hovered at the same weight for 3 weeks.
Is 3 weeks a plateau? Or does that term typically mean a longer period? What should I do? I have not increased exercise, so this isn't a case where heavier muscle is taking the place of fat. My diet is tracking calories, trying to stay at about 1200. That has necessarily led to fewer carbs, sweets, and snacking, and increased vegetables but otherwise I'm not restricting any food groups and don't plan to. Any advice? |
go up a bit higher for 2 days--like 1500/1600 calories and then drop again. but yes plateaus happen. |
