No, its still early. If you talk to alot of recruiting directors, they will tell you it wasnt going to move as fast as it did with the 26 class. give it some time, many girls are going to camps this weekend in which they were invited to from calls/texts. You will prob start seeing a few commitments next week If I had to guess.

I think you are correct but it does concern me that there has not been one commit yet from Blue. I am not losing sleep over it but I really hope the ‘28s have a good Fall and move into some of the higher brackets.

How does this year compare to last? When was the first commitment, and when did most players commit?

I looked back and not a single Blue Commit in the '26 class was announced on that year's threads until a week or so after. Most players committed between 9/8 and 10/15. That class did pretty well. Deep breaths folks.

sounds right. There were some who committed the first week of Sept but I don't think the thread was started until later so the timing of what you see on that thread may not reflect the actually timing. Most of Blue committed by the end of September. A lot of Orange committed in the second to 4th week of September. By President's Cup most of Blue was committed and maybe half of Orange. Several on Orange were looking at NESCACs so that didn't happen until this past Summer because I think they need senior year grades. Some of those girls were committed after their final tournament which was Lax for the Cure in NJ. Keep in mind there were some blue chip recruits on Blue. Some of the Ivy League girls on Blue had been dialed into that school since 4th grade.

Sorry. I meant NESCAC wanted to see all of Junior year grades.

President's Cups brackets out. Looks like organizers looked at US Club rankings for top 3 brackets and didn't take much else into consideration. Cap Blue in 5, could argue should be in 4 based on rankings but plenty of coaches should still be at fields for that bracket.

What else should they have taken into consideration? They are bracketing teams with teams of similar strength, cap blue 2028 is where it belongs.

Just win baby. They start winning, they will be moved up in brackets throughout the course of fall and into spring. Higher bracket, obviously more coaches. Can't lose any games in the 5th bracket at President's Cup, though.

Can anyone tell us what bracket the Cap 25's, 26's and 27's were in at President's Cup?

25s didn’t play, 26s were in pool 1, and 27s were in pool 2 but went 0-4.

I agree with this point. One can argue with Cap Blue's placement at President's Cup--noting that Cap Blue beat 4 of the 8 teams in the 3rd bracket and tied 2 others, or that they beat 2 of the bracket #4 teams soundly--but that would be pointless. MD Crush has a stronger case anyway, as they came in ranked #15 and are also in Bracket #5. (Beating them would be an upset).

Capital Blue has a decent draw at Continental, the other fall tourney with schedules out, playing three teams ranked higher. But the PP's Al Davis quote, "Just win baby," sums it up. Coaches will be on the sidelines for both of these brackets, and winning solves everything going forward.

“Just win baby” doesn’t work with equal playing time as you will soon find out.
