Best Home equipment

I’m feeling pretty motivated with exercise and have done well at the gym in the past few weeks. But I have two small kinds and think I could pick things up a bit if I had something to while the kids play in the basement and I can’t leave the house. I’d like a treadmill but don’t think it’ll fit down the stairs to our basement. Any ideas for other useful equipment that’s not as big and expensive as a treadmill? Stationary bike, rowing machine or just free weights and YouTube? Other ideas?

I bought a rowing machine for DH - it is a great full body workout. The one I purchased has wheels on it so you can roll it away and stand it up in the corner, and it's very stable so it won't fall over.

This is the one I purchased: https://www.waterrower.com/us/shop/classic-rowing-machine.html?tf_source=google&tf_medium=ppc&tf_term=&tf_content=11681245944&tf_campaign=162810624&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3_jJtI7G2AIVlKDsCh05SQ8YEAQYByABEgLFifD_BwE

Here's a pic of what it looks like when stored away in the corner, on-end.

Ive had a lotnos success with my home gym. Here is what i have:
Treadmill
Rower
Poweblock adjustable weights
Rubber bands
Plyometric box
Ab roller
Punching bag
Bosu ball
Slides (for mountain climbers)
Bench
Wall chalkboard to creste my WOD

I absolutely get just a good workout at home as in a gym. I'll never fo back to angym membership. Plus i work FT, so it makes it so easy to get down to the basement in the early morning, shower down there, and come upstairs and help get the kids off.

I'd also recommend a rower, and the one that the PP posted is excellent. I use it at the gym and it's very easy to fold up and roll away (we use it in a studio room for a specific class so they have to be put against the wall when class is over). In addition to that, I'd get a jump rope, and some heavy weights for a barbell. That's pretty much all you need to get a good total-body workout.

Have you used the Concept 2? Wondering how it is different. I do not need it to fold up as space is not an issue, but this one sure is pretty

Concept 2 is supposed to be the "gold standard", so I'm wondering how this water one is different.
