Do you get a headache when you start a diet?

I am not starving myself by any means but just not eating sugar or simple carbs like bread - and I have a smashing headache.

Yes I am sure you will experience sugar, gluten or dairy or even caffeine withdrawal headaches. Should be short lived though like only a few days.

If you are eating exclusively protein then a headache comes from kidney overwork.

I do get a headache or two when quitting sugar cold turkey. Sucks but doesn’t last long.

Take some Advil to get you through the beginning.

Has your diet changed your caffeine consumption?

I think it's best to not do extreme diets or diet changes for this reason. If you cut out sugars and simple carbs slowly, it shouldn't result in a headache. And make sure you're still eating whole grains and other healthy carbs.

Yes, sugar and/or carb withdrawal. Possible electrolyte imbalance as well.

Yes, I plan on having Tylenol ready when my diet starts tomorrow! It’s amazing how addictive sugar is for my body.

Did you quit caffeine? From that yes, diet no.
