I am not starving myself by any means but just not eating sugar or simple carbs like bread - and I have a smashing headache. |
Yes I am sure you will experience sugar, gluten or dairy or even caffeine withdrawal headaches. Should be short lived though like only a few days. |
If you are eating exclusively protein then a headache comes from kidney overwork. |
I do get a headache or two when quitting sugar cold turkey. Sucks but doesn’t last long. |
Take some Advil to get you through the beginning.

I think it's best to not do extreme diets or diet changes for this reason. If you cut out sugars and simple carbs slowly, it shouldn't result in a headache. And make sure you're still eating whole grains and other healthy carbs. |
Yes, sugar and/or carb withdrawal. Possible electrolyte imbalance as well. |
