Two Questions re DC Metro School Info

Anonymous
I'm looking for K-12 info in the DC Metro area. So far, the best single resource I've found is "My School Chooser" by Fight for Children. What is missing from the current edition (but is to be included in future editions) are test scores. Is there a comprehensive source of private, public, and charter school test scores? A school by school search would be very time-consuming.

Also, is there a comprehensive source for "feeder school" info? I've seen articles in Washingtonian magazine, but haven't found a print or online source that provides a breakdown/detail from elementary school to middle school to high school. My sense is if we want our son to get into the best college, we should start with the elementary schools that feed into the middle schools that feed the high schools that feed into those colleges. Since thousands of parents in the DC area go through this drill every year, I'm confident I don't need to reinvent the wheel on this one.

Many thanks for your help!

I could be wrong here, but I think the only "scores" that a private school would report would be SAT scores. And to that end, I vaguely recall that the Washingtonian magazine has published that data in the past, in a somewhat comprehensive way. check the website.

"If we want our son to get into the best college?" . . . Geez!! How about finding a school where your son will be happy and thrive? Your kid isn't even in school and you're thinking about the "best college." ??? No wonder kids around here are so stressed. I'm applying to private schools for my kid now and am appalled at how many parents say this kind of stuff.
