Are Redfin employees not working this weekend?

We’ve been working with Redfin here and where we plan to move. I’ve emailed and texted questions and haven’t heard back.

Do they take weekends off? Did Redfin take the holiday weekend off?

Just sent a text to a Redfin agent I know. She said they don't have any assigned appointments but if someone calls them they will show houses.

Thanks. Isn’t that just for this weekend or always how it is?

Uh, I doubt there are many houses to show. It needs to be empty. Most people are using their home over the holiday weekend or its not in shape to be shown.

I'm using Redfin to both buy and sell. We had an open house this weekend.

Their offices were closed Thursday and Friday, but some of their associate agents could be reached via instant booking to see a house.

Saturday and Sunday have been back to normal, although with lower associate agent availability. They are 1099 so they choose when they want to work.

hi PP - how is your experience with Redfin both for selling and buying?

Depends upon your price point. If under about 400K in the DMV, they won't necessarily even work with you to buy. Look in their terms of service. Lower price properties just can't fit their business model anymore. They give you"partner" agents that are just desperate and likely not worth it.
