Office Gossip

I got really sick at work the other week and had to go to the ER. It was a freak think but the person who runs our office has asked several people if I am pregnant, because I guess that would be the only reason I fell ill . She doesn’t have children and is kind of oblivious about what it means to have kids and work. I assume she had a situation with an employee who had children’s and maybe didn’t fulfill her responsibilities (But who knows). We don’t have a functioning HR office where I could go to complain about the inappropriateness of it all. Part of me feels that by confronting her I’m just legitimizing her inapropriateness. The other option is to go over her head and tell the person who runs our office and the final option is to just do nothing. I’m just so annoyed by it all.

And then thos people ran back and told you? Sounds like you are all gossips. I'd just let it be.

They came back to me to say they felt it was inappropriate. I’m the only mother in the office right. Le.
