My Shia friend was always very good about wishing me a Happy Easter or Merry Christmas; is there an appropriate thing to say (via email; we no longer live near one another)? Just "I am thinking of you on this holy day?" The internet has yielded no immediately useful answers. |
Isn't it like Lent or Holy/Good Friday - greetings seem odd! If you are Christian, it makes sense to say Lenten Blessings (in other words, wishing that the other person receive blessings through Lenten practices), but I would not expect a nonChristian to say that. |
Hope you see this in time! http://universalrealization.blogspot.com/2008/02/understanding-etiquette-of-greeting.html?m=1 |
Muslim here. It's kind of you to want to extend a greeting. A "blessed Ashura"
Would be appreciated. |
