day time group classes or activities with or without parents for 3 year olds?

If you know of any small programs in the areas that have a good play based learning, hands on exploring classes, into to foundations of academics please pass them along! We are hoping to find some great options in the DC/MD area not too far from home.

I am on the hunt for classes (low cost) to supplement a part-time daycare/preschool or at home program. The zoo classes are a bit pricey and often geared toward kids a bit younger. I would love to find some affordable activities for social & peer group building. Of course leads on fun free regularly occurring activities at museums or other community venues would be great!

I am doing my own searching but there are so many places to cover. Many of them seem hard to find out about unless you live nearby or happen to know someone that goes.

Are there any Prk HS groups? Ideally secular or at least welcoming and open to all families?

There is a forest homeschooling group that meets Thursday's in different places in NOVA for younger ones and is free. Park takes has cheap classes for littles and I've heard of classical converation groups meeting weekly and starting very young although I don't know much about that. Best of luck.
