| We're collecting prices now from dealers. Can anyone share their deal? We're looking at the premium with eyesight. Thanks! |

| I don't like the new body styles. The last generation looked better. I don't think pricing changed much, maybe 300-500 over the previous model |
| I'm just interested in how much above or below invoice you paid, etc. |
| I don't think anyone pays under invoice on those unless it's an end of year special and the dealer in Virginia doesn't want to carry them over in inventory for another year property tax. The rest of the time there's not really even haggling those are so in demand now. |
| Use Edmunds TMV tool |
| FWIW when we bought a while ago we found Fitzgerald had a good (no haggle) price (but I didn't really like them for service) |
I bought mine at Fitzgerald I like that place for service because it's the ONLY dealership that has ever told me they *won't* do a service, because in their opinion, it's potentially a cause of trouble later. There's a lot of discussion on Subaru forums about servicing the CVT. Some people say don't do it, others say do it with non OEM fluids, others say only the dealer can do it. It's about a $400 job at the places that will do it. But Fitzgerald service writers specifically recommend against it for cars that see normal, non-severe duty, use. That's the only time I've ever had a dealer tell me NOT to spend money on something. That's significant. Every dealership I've ever dealt with on other vehicles has been more than happy to take my money. They're the only ones who've ever said no to something. |
| truecar.com is also a good site to check out re: pricing |
| What is the going price for a bloated, underpowered fake SUV? |
| Not sure if this still exists, but Subaru used to have a program where if you are a member of certain organizations (e.g., ASCPA, ...), you are eligible for a fixed price (2% under invoice I think). I think it may require you to be a member for some period of time (e.g., 6 months), though I think for some organizations, if you donate a large enough amount, you can become an eligible member immediately. |
| We bought one a year ago using USAA. We were able to get a little lower than what the dealerships were offering but generally the price at every dealership was just about the same. |
|
0% financing right now on 2017 and 2018 new models. they are looking to clear inventory.
focus on getting them to knock the down price and/or add free upgrades. |
| We bought ours three years ago (I like that it is basically a car that is higher up, I didn't want a traditional SUV) at Stohlman. Their sales folks were easy to work with. I went in with a price (used TruPrice and knocked off $500) and left with that price plus they increased the offer on my trade in. |
