*Why* does she need to kill with her looks? I don’t think anyone has made the *why* clear. |

Cue the downplays and the naysayers. It's their second job now, and they are in it to win it.
Doesn't change what it is, though. You can shout down and insult posters here if you want, but people all over are still talking about it. A better use of the energy is just to get a stylist for formal appearances and do better. All this frantic defense to make her feel better just makes her look more out of place and thin-skinned. Sad.
Yep. No excuses for looking unpolished and messy.
That’s good, considering she didn’t/doesn’t. I’d love to see a photo of you.
DP. Sure, when one of us gets an official White House headshot, have at it.
If I had Usha's money and resources and needed an official WH headshot, people would not even recognize me! I'd be lasered, peeled, and botoxed to beyond recognition (for me, personally, I wouldn't go full Trump), fresh highlights, professional makeup, a dress in the best possible color for me. If y'all knew me and then saw my WH headshot in this scenario you would be like "Who is that?" THAT is the difference. If I go to my office in suburban Maryland with a few flyaways and in an ill-fitting dress, no one cares. If I am representing my husband's boss on the national stage, yes, you need to kill with your looks.
What a waste of her time and attention. She does not need to "kill" with her looks especially as the VP's spouse. I hope she keeps her gray hair and sensible shoes. |
Okay, I was looking for a sweater for myself on the BR website and out of boredom thought I'd pull some things that could look good for Usha. I'm ignoring her family and friends posting here...but if you ARE her family and friends, please pass these along.
![]() I think this would be cute on her because she has nice arms and red is a pretty universally flattering color. ![]() This was kind of like her RNC dress but the neckline is more polished and I think navy would be a better color for her. And again, she does have nice arms and shoulders. [img]https://bananarepublic.gap.com/webcontent/0056/819/474/cn56819474.jpg I don't LOVE this material but I really think shift dresses are her friend and I would love to see her in this type of color. Cool and bright. Saturated rather than the muted she prefers. [/img]https://bananarepublic.gap.com/webcontent/0057/011/891/cn57011891.jpg[img] She seems to like jerseys and other drapey/knit fabrics so I think this would work for her. This also comes in black which I feel like is a good color for her but I do want to see her experiment with color. |
Okay. This is the type of color I was looking for for her. (Purple not grey.) Again, she loves drapey fabrics and I think this color would be STUNNING. Not necessarily recommending this particular one, it is cropped which I don't think she'd like, but maybe? I feel like she's on the petite side so with high-waisted jeans it could work. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/endless-rose-shirred-crop-top/6438558 |
If she wants to do the Jackie O. look it needs to be more fitted and tailored than Monday's attempt. I think she'd be cute in this:
[img]https://lagence.com/cdn/shop/files/1619VSP_ANGELINA_MIDNIGHTACAIRUBYTWEED_03.jpg?v=1731107254 The skirt might need to be hemmed to fit her proportions. |
I think this could be cute for her MAYBE. Definitely the style. To ME the color reads as a mustardy brown, but the name is "light camel" so it could be a totally different color than what it appears in pics.

NO MORE CAMEL! Geez, are you being sarcastic? |
You must be trolling. This is why I think the digs are hilarious. |
OMG, these are terrible choices! |
You know who she should take some style cues from? And she never will, because Republicans hate her but Meghan Markle. She has a very casual, trendy but somehow classic, "mom on the go" style. These are all MM looks I think Usha would look great in.

That's why I said I'd have to see this in person. It may be too camel. It looks mustard on my screen. |
The navy is pretty and looks almost identical to a dress Usha already wore but in a better color for her. I think that's a fine choice. The red is too short. |
What? The navy one is pretty and I had to copy and paste the other two links in but the chartreuse dress is also pretty (though I think I would prefer it in black). |
Agree with the first dress. Blue shirt dress and third outfit are not appropriate. |
DP, BR is terrible brand for someone so thin. The cuts are not fitted at all for someone of her proportions. |
