Yup. WSJ: “The bipartisan House panel probing sexual-misconduct allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz declined Wednesday to release its report on President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, setting the stage for an effort by Democrats to force a vote on the matter. Rep. Sean Casten (D., Ill.) said Wednesday he would introduce a privileged resolution for a vote on releasing the report if the ethics panel declined to do so. That resolution would force House Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) to schedule a vote within two days. Johnson said last week the panel shouldn’t release its report, and the GOP-led House could vote to table the matter by simple majority.” |
Everyone is missing the point. Even if they release it Trump won't withdraw him. |
and we'll probably have a sleazy predator for our attorney general. That's great America. So great again!. |

Agree. Nothing is going to slow down this or any other appointment. No behavior is too sleazy to make any Republican defy Trump. |
Mike Johnson is complicit in covering up statutory rape and sex trafficking - or he needs to release the report and prove otherwise. |
Having sex with a 17 year old is also not legal. Transporting a 17 year old across state lines for the purpose of sex is also not legal. |
Hesgeth is out. There's no way Gaetz will be confirmed. And he will try but fail to take senators down with him. |
Not a person in America thinks Gaetz is a "threat to the deep state." We think he is sleazy, scummy, Florida Man who committed statutory rape. |
You may wish to re-think your stupid statements. Though I doubt you are aware of how stupid you really are. "Section 2423(a) of Title 18 prohibits anyone from transporting any individual under the age of 18 years in interstate or foreign commerce with the intent that the minor engage in prostitution or any criminal sexual activity. It imposes a maximum 15 years' imprisonment and/or a fine under Title 18." Remember that it is not rare that a statutory rape applies when one of the two is under 18 (even just 17) and the other is much older. We don't want to criminalize two kids going at it. But when one is a 30+ year old law school graduate and member of congress, that notion would not apply. |
Or maybe I should keep my mouth shut and learn to read. |
