Especially when you consider the P Diddy thread is only 36 pages and was started all the way back in December.

I guess it's a good thing that Diddy only beat a woman and didn't tell her how great being a wife and mother is.

P Diddy isn't participating in our current cultural wars by doling out RW talking points cloaked as life advice.

Interesting. Because, neither is Butker.
He is simply praising and commending those who choose to have children and raise children - BOTH men and women.
I guess you are not a fan of childrearing.

I'm not a fan of RWNJ talking points or policies.

Yet he chose a career where he’s not home August-February and is in a media tour off season.

He’s an absent father.

Butker is a conservative Catholic publicly pushing extremely repressive views on gender and reproductive rights at a time when conservative Catholics are forcibly imposing their viewpoints on everyone else.

What’s so repressive about being a SAHM? Hundreds of leftist DCUMs make this same choice.

+1 Why doesn't he give up the NFL if being present in children's lives and creating home for them is at the top of his list? He could get a different job closer to home.

Why did he address his "diabolical lies" portion of his speech only at the women? What about the men? Do their lives only truly begin when they become fathers, or does their life pre-children actually count?
The double standard is the problem.

What’s so horrible about being a successful working mom?

Being a mother is incredibly important to me. I am grateful to be able to stay home to support my child and husband…
But Harrison can F right off with this nonsense that my life didn’t matter before marriage and kids. ( and that is exactly the point he made)
Dude hear me now.
I was F’ing awesome before my family.
I continue being awesome during this chapter of my life. My life will continue to have meaning once my kid is grown.

But Harrison will likely be a douche bag forever.

And remember ladies…
The crap he was spewing is all tied up with:

Abortion bans that endanger the life of the mother.
They are going after birth control.
Get on twitter and wake up.
All of this misogynistic crap has been bubbling up there for over a year.
It was over a year ago I started seeing occasional posts about “household voting” and “ repeal the 19th”
Now I see it all the time. The arguments aren’t good, but that’s not the point. They are making us argue to defend rights we thought were secure.
This guy isn’t a joke. He was asked to give a very public address.
They are pushing the conversation.

Publicly pushing his views? Like via his right to speak these things? Oh, the horror.

He has the right to his opinion. I can’t believe people are so upset about him but seem to care less about those who beat women and are guilty of rape and/or statutory rape of women.
Crazy priorities.

I don’t have to live my life by his values. I am a practicing Catholic and don’t agree with much of what he said. I have always worked FT. His views do not offend me but do they speak to me either.

Who said we care less about men who beat and rape women? I am disgusted by both. A lot of seemingly "good" men do horrible things to their wives behind closed doors. On another note, men I know aren't complaining when their wives contribute financially because two incomes are a necessity for many families. He needs to check his privilege.

I honestly can't believe this thread is still going. Ridiculous outrage over nothing.

Ask Harrison since he clearly doesn’t like his.
