Would you buy size Large PBK backpack or Small? I feel size Large has longer years of service (also from economical stand point, buy once and be done sort), but the kid is petite in size, so I know size Small would fit the kid better than the large. Any comments appreciated. Thank you.
Get the large. I got the small and the first week of school the teacher sent home a note that it was too small for my pre-K child because he couldn't fit everything in it.
+1 same thing happened to us |
OP back. Thank you. I will look for the size Large!
It needs to be able to fit a lunch box, water bottle, folder full of paper and then a bunch of week-old snacks, crumpled up permission slips and a progress report from October.
OP back. One of the reason I am inclined to PBK is it comes with the chest-side fastner(term?). Does it matter with or without for the earlier age (K to 2nd grade?)
The cheesy fastener is important if your kid walks to school. The packs, once filled, are too heavy for their frames, so at least doing everything to make the load lighter is the way to go.
LOL! Both my kids' kindergarten teachers requested the large size in the supply list. |
Thanks for the feedback!! hummmm. We could walk to school and/or take bus. Oh, this is tough. Thank you!!!
Get a large backpack. Let her pick a pattern. Don't put too much thought into it. We've had several brands over the years and Jansport seem to hold up really well and they are less expensive.
Thank you, ladies. OP back. I took a mini trip to Tysons Corner with my kid and tested both PBK large/small and LL. Bean. And, we decided to go with PBK large. Again, thank you sooo much!
