What to wear to Lincoln Center/New York Philharmonic?

| I'm going to NYC soon and planning to see a concert at Lincoln Center. What is the appropriate dress code? I have never been. Is it like the Kennedy Center where the attire ranges wildly from jeans-super fancy all for the same performance? I am planning to wear a black or cream colored dress and heels (nothing fancy, but something I would wear to a work event), but I want to make sure I won't be underdressed. Any tips? Thanks! |

Unless it's an "event" (opening night), you'll be fine
And yes, there are people who will show up looking like they got lost trying to find the Phish concert. |
