Preschool/Nursery School for 2-year old (Chevy Chase/Bethesda/Rockville)

Anonymous
Hi,

I am looking for a good preschool/nusery school for my son in September 2010 in the Bethesda area. He will be 2 years, 3 months old at that time. I am new to the area and I have no idea where to start, so if anyone has any suggestions for a school with caring teachers/nice facilities I would be grateful. We are willing to drive 20 minutes or so, so we are not limited to Bethesda. Thanks!!!!!

The only two I've really looked at are Franklin Montessori and Christ Episcopal in Rockville. Franklin's got great teachers and great facilities. That's going to be my pick for my 3 yo. I was extremely impressed with the teachers and curriculum at Christ Episcopal, but it is a church school so the facilities are state-of-the art or anything. It's fine for me, but perhaps not what you are looking for. There is no religion taught and no chapel attendance for the preschool kids. I would have sent my son there, but I really want Montessori.

I meant they are NOT state-of-the-art.

Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS) was founded in 1964 and is a cooperative, parent-owned and non-sectarian preschool.

As a cooperative preschool, RCNS affords parents a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in their child's education. Parents serve the school in administrative positions and assist the teachers in daily classroom activities.

RCNS offers a first school experience for two-, three- and four-year-olds.

Westmoreland children center. Two locations. Wonderful teachers. Not too expensive.

Patricia,
How many times do you need to post? We got it.

Yikes! She only posted twice. Could've been a mistake or maybe just being diligent. Ease up.
