I have hardwood and tile floors and thinking of buying a lightweight vacuum I saw dyson and shark models at Costco which can turn to handheld, if you were to choose, which one would you buy. If you have used these brands, what was you experience? Thanks in advance! |
Never used days on, but shark is not great for either surfaces that you listed. Leaved behind dog hair and small onjects like short pine needles. When I mop my tile floors I see stuff that was left behind. |
*never used Dyson
Stupid autocorrect |
I have hardwood floors throughout the house except bedrooms. Use a shark on the hardwood floors and it works great.
We don't have a dog hair problem though. It doesn't shed. But the shark cleans the hardwoods after haircuts easily |
I have owned both and don't think the Dyson is worth the extra money. I have a dog who sheds a ton. It has been a while since I owned them though. |
Shark |
Same here, two dogs. Shark Navigator is a workhorse. My Dyson didn't work quite as good and the brush thingy underneath it broke. |
Shark and I've had both |
Oh, man, we just got the Shark & I'm in love. It's so light and gets so much stuff. I love how easy the head rotates and all the accessories are easy to use. |
Which Shark? Can it go from carpet to hard woods? Is it light, |
I also am interested in which Shark model - I had just come into this forum to ask about vacuums, and someone beat me to it! My Hoover wind tunnel pet model just died, and I'm wondering what next. This Hoover lasted me about five years, and only cost $150, so I'm nervous about spending big bucks on a Dyson or Miele just to have it die in five years also. I'm debating just replacing the wind tunnel with another one - Consumer Reports gave it a "Best Buy", but it does have some issues. I'm less worried about wood floors - this one is for my carpeted top floor, so I want it to really pick up stuff. |
I got shark navigator pro, it's heavy but boy does it do a great job. |
Our Miele is 10 or 11 years old, works great on tile, hardwood, and area rugs. We've got a lab who sheds and two young children. It's great, worth the price. Even DH likes it. |
I love my shark! It's lightweight and works really well on all surfaces |
Miele canister is awesome for hardwood floors. I bought one last year after and its my favorite purchase. |
