My daughter consistently comes home with scratches on her face and body. The teachers said it is from a new student and they have tried to separate them. Is that all they can do? My daughter has scabs from the scratches and looks like she has been in a fight. I never expected this from a preschool. I want to go back to the director, but what should I say? |
I would contact the director and ask her to talk with the bullies parents. |
I agree. Check with the director. I am sure she will be able to help wtih this. |
Physical abuse is far different than being a bully. |
That is terrible, OP. Can your daughter or this other child be moved to another classroom? How old? I'm assuming in the 4-5 range, yes?
What does your daughter say about this to you? Poor thing--that sucks. |
I agree about talking to the Director. Kids who bite other kids are routinely "expelled" from programs after the third bite. I know this is different, but if a child is physicall hurting another child, then I still think that the school has an obligation to protect the abused child. |
My school has the third bite policy too. This is physical abuse. |
