Virginia Beach

I am taking my teenagers to Virginia Beach for Spring Break. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to see? Thanks.

Definitely get sandwiches at Taste Unlimited, and don't skimp on the house dressing. There is a beach location.

There is a ropes course now at the aquarium, which might be fun for kids that age. I would also see if Chicks has crabs now and if so get some. A sandwich from Taste. You can go to Norfolk to see the Harbor or into Chesapeake to see the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

Used to be a boat tour of the Naval base which was pretty cool. Don't know if they still do it.

Fort Monroe is a nice visit also. But you have to cross the HRBT which is just as bad as DC traffic.

If your kids have skateboards or bikes (and you can travel with them easily), bring them for the boardwalk, which is lots of fun.

Take a drive to Sandbridge for a more secluded beach experience - lots of dunes (and aka The Outer Banks of Virginia).

Take a dolphin cruise from Rudee Inlet.

If they are into military history, definitely check out the USS Wisconsin and also MacArthur Memorial. Both are in Norfolk.

I think you can walk to the MacArthur Memorial from the boat tours and also USS Wisconsin.
